I opened a spreadsheet from a flash drive. After editing the file, I tried to save it (to the flash drive) and i got this Error message......"Error saving the document "XXX" : Object not accessible. This object cannot be accessed due to insufficient user rights." How can i fix this file, error, or whatever so that I can save file on the flash drive????

Some flash drives have physical write-protect switches, so check that. You can also make them read/write or read-only, and if that one is set to the latter you can fix it:

Files themselves may be "locked" or write-protected. I suppose it's even possible to create a "read-only" flash drive, but that's getting ahead of ourselves. If you didn't create that flash drive research its source.
What is the brand, size and model of the solid state drive?
How is it formatted?
How is it connected to your iMac?
Post a screenshot of the Sharing & Permissions section of the Info pane for the drive.
John & Old Toad, Thanks for the advise/suggestions. I finally figured it out. The flashed drive was formatted in a Windows file format, NTFS, which MAC can read but not write to it. I corrected the file format everything & is now working properly.......
