Voice Memos mic stuck on Apple Watch SE

I accidentally opened the voice memo app on my se watch. When I tapped to close it, it wouldn’t. No matter what I did I couldn’t get the mic to close. I then deleted the app hoping that would help but it didn’t. The mic icon is on at the top of the watch. How can I solve this?

Have you tried force restarting your watch by holding in simultaneously the digital crown and side button for 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo then release them?
