eSIM issues on IPhone 15 Pro with a Vodafoneindia conne tion

Hi,

I got my IPhone 15 pro unlocked from the US last year. I moved my existing post paid Vodafone India connection to the eSIM on this phone in Feb 2024.

suddenly without any notice the connection stopped working yesterday and when I checked with the Vodafone shop I was told that this handset was bought in the US I need to get specific settings from the apple service centre to make this handset like a India bought handset . I was also told only India bought phones eSIM is supported .

is this correct? I tried all the settings recommended on apple support forum without any luck. Rgds. Chandar

To be able to use any SIM/eSIM across the globe you must have "No SIM Restriction" against Network Provider Lock. Please refer to the pic below.

Carrier Lock:- Request your iPhone’s original Carrier to unlock your iPhone and if they agree and do it, then you may know the further process here --> How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier ...
