Screen Display Patch Issue on MacBook Air 15" M2

I am experiencing a strange issue with my MacBook Air 15" M2. A display patch appears on the right side of the screen under certain conditions:

The patch shows up when I close and reopen the MacBook instead of shutting it down.
Performing a complete shutdown and restart temporarily resolves the issue.
However, the display patch reappears whenever I reopen the MacBook after simply closing it.

I’ve attached images below to illustrate the problem.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Could this be related to macOS, a hardware glitch, or display settings? I would appreciate any suggestions or troubleshooting advice to help resolve this.

It is not waking from sleep properly?

Maybe finder is having an issue (hoping it is not a hardware issue).

Try restarting finder to see if that resets the monitor.

It is under the force quit commands.

Otherwise, I start suspecting hardware.

The opening of the laptop may be causing a loose connector that temporarily drops a few column drivers of the monitor.

Run Apples Hardware Check software to see if that shows a chip probblem. I doubt it. You may need to have someone open the laptop up and reconnect the plugs for the monitor or replace the ribbon cable if worn.

Anyone do any work on the laptop recently? Replace the battery perhaps? If so, maybe they did not assemble it back together perfectly.

That's a hardware problem. Get it serviced before it gets worse.
