Handoff not working on after update to Sequoia, even the new iPhone mirroring not work

Hello,

I was on Sonoma version, and the Handoff worked pretty fine, after update to Sequoia I lost all Handoff stuff. Before, when I was looking an webpage on my iphone, I open the macOS Dock, and could see the icon to open the web page... I could copy an text on my iphone or ipad, and paste into my macbook pro... now nothing is working... :(

I already installed new version of sequioa, a new clean install.. I already logged out and re-logged in my iCloud account in both machines macbook pro and iphone.. and still the problem.

Any idea what's going on? How can I debug this more deeply to provide more details for you guys?

My setup:

Macbook Pro 16-inch, 2019

iPhone 16 Pro

iPad 9

Ps.: the copy/paste work between my iphone and ipad.. the problem is between my devices and the macOS Sequoia

Thanks!

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 11.7

If Handoff or iPhone mirroring isn't working after updating to macOS Sequoia, you can try the following:

  • Check your devices
  • Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and have Bluetooth turned on. You can also check that both devices are updated to the latest software.
  • Check your apps
  • Make sure the app you're trying to use supports Handoff. Many third-party apps and apps like Calendar, Contacts, FaceTime, and Safari support Handoff.
  • Check your settings
  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity and make sure Allow AirPlay Receiving is turned on. On your Mac, make sure it's not sharing its internet connection or using AirPlay or Sidecar.
  • Restart your devices
  • Restarting your devices can sometimes help.
  • Reset your iPhone's network settings
  • If you're still having trouble, you can try resetting your iPhone's network settings. This will erase all saved Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth pairings, and VPN settings, so only do this if other options haven't worked.
  • Disconnect and reconnect your iPhone
  • You can disconnect your iPhone from your Mac, then set up a new connection.

Hello @AlWeir thanks for your reply,

  • I double checked my devices, and everyone of them are updated to the latest software.
  • All my devices are in the same wifi, and bluetooth are enabled, the only difference is my MacBook Pro is connected using both WiFi and Ethernet cable (but as I mentioned, worked before on the same setup), but in both cases, using the same network config.
  • I'm trying to use native app, Calendar and Safari, and it's not working.
  • My iPhone config is this:
    • Automatically AirPlay: On
    • TRansfer to HomePod: On
    • Handoff: On
    • Continuity Camera: On
    • AirPlay Receiver: On
    • Allow AirPlay For: Current User
    • Require Password: Off

  • I already restarted all my devices, including my macbook pro several times.. same thing.

This part: Disconnect and reconnect your iPhone I couldn't understand... Do I need to connect my iphone on my macbook pro? using cable?

I believe is something on mymacbook or icloud.. because as I mentioned I can copy/paste between my iphone and ipad.. the problem is between my devices and my macbook pro.

Thanks!
