If you see the subscription there, you can try and request a refund through Apple, but it is not guaranteed especially with subscriptions:

Most of the issues I have seen with DuoLingo subscriptions are when the user chooses the option on their website for a Free Trial. Apple has no control over any subscription you choose to make when not using the in-app purchase. Once you choose to make a subscription with a developer directly on their website, you can only resolve the issue through them.
