Adding country code before pasting a number on the keypad

Hi. I’m visiting a different country and need to add a country code before pasting a phone number in Phone -> keypad

on Android you are able to tap the number and move the cursor but this doesn’t seem possible on iOS. The most I can do here is paste a whole number when the keypad is blank but not after I enter a country code

Is this possible at all?
