Apple Watch gets unordered audiobook

Strange story. My wife is fairly new to her Apple Watch 10. Yesterday she was just looking through various apps, and on reaching Audiobooks, an audiobook started playing through the Apple Watch's speaker.

It's actually a good audiobook, The Alchemist, which sells for $14.99. We can't find it on her iPhone's audiobooks, and none of us within our Family Sharing group has ordered the book.

It's just odd behavior....anyone have an idea what's going on?

Did your wife own an Apple Watch before, and somehow used the backup of a previous watch to set up the new Apple Watch?

Set up and pair your Apple Watch with iPhone - Apple Support

To make sure, that there is no content from other users left, you could erase the watch and set it up again:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If asked during the process, choose to set it up as a new device. You will not lose Health data by doing that.

Again, that’s the mystery. Neither of us has requested or streamed this audiobook…it just mysteriously appeared (like the U2 album of some years ago, which Apple sent intentionally).

Hmmm…from Amazon. It was sealed in original packaging. However, I remember I once bought a “new” iPad from Best Buy that had some previous owner’s ebooks.
