Mac Pro/ spreadsheet locked up and won't respond to any command - how do I shut down and reboot/ standard protocols don't respond either/ the app refuses to close
I accidentally hit a key on the spreadsheet I was working on - quickly and the whole app froze/ it won't allow to quit the session and reboot either

You don't describe what you think are standard protocols, so will ask, did you try Apple menu > Force Quit?
Apple menu > Restart?

Found a solution - HOLD DOWN KEYS (COMMAND+OPTION+ESCAPE) AT THE SAME TIME AND RESULT IS A "FORCED CLOSE" !
YES, I found it in the meantime while browsing sources - I performed the combo and it worked - thanks for your reply!
