Expressvpn has been sending phishing emails

Expressvpn has been emailing me an excessive amount the day after my subscription through Apple expired. I received an email from expressvpn regarding my personal credit card information. They told me they was having problems billing my account. How would they be billing my account when my subscription the day before. And if there is a billing problem with my account why was expressvpn emailing me about this. Apple should be emailing me regarding billing issues. This email was send to me the day after my subscription through Apple expired, the 6th of January. Whenever expressvpn started emailing me the day after my subscription through Apple expired, it scared me, they were making me think that they’re have access to me credit card information, and there was a link at the bottom of the page telling me to update my credit card information:

this email was send the morning of the 7th. And I woke up to this email, I starting having a serious panic attack, thinking oh my god what if I accidentally have expressvpn my card details at some point, wracking my brain bout why expressvpn would need my credit card information if I was subscribed through Apple and my subscription had expired the day before. Why is t Apple writing me??? Thank goodness I did not give them any information but the emails they were sending me, were implying that they have access to my credit card information, and also implied that I have an account with them and it’s on auto renewal. I called my bank immediately and there were zero charges from expressvpn on any of my statements. What, why? why? Were they suddenly harassing me about my billing problems implying I opened a separate account with them and they have my billing info. This is disgusting and horrible behavior for a so called upstanding business advertised through the Apple app. I’ve heard much worse stories about expressvpn from other people, scamming and phishing people, their former customers who were not fortunate enough to subscribe through Apple, and unfortunately subscribed through their own website. Stories about people that have been harassed by expressvpn for years, who have been charged without their content. And the most common story was that expressvpn does not allow people to delete their accounts. These are scammers, posing as an up standing businesses. They tried to make me believe that they had my credit card information, so I would update it to them. Instead I pretty much flipped out on them, being overly paranoid. Just wanted this is the type of online business you are advertising on your App Store.

thank you

No it was from expressvpn,

No vendor would ever send an email like that. It doesn't even make sense. Companies don't bill your account, they bill Apple. They have zero access to your account. Apple will notify you if there is a problem with your Apple account. What you're seeing is a very common scam. If you clicked on the link, it would take you somewhere that looked legitimated, at least at first, and which you attempt to get information from you, often log in credentials or credit card information.

I’ve never used this forum before, I was writing to Apple and told to come here, sorry my presence and problems are not appropriate

Your presence is certainly not inappropriate. But, it would be wrong of anyone responding to you here not to advise you of who you were talking to. It would be rude to let you think that your complaint had reached Apple.

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple doesn't read here for feedback or suggestions.

Spam is a fact of modern life. It's quite likely that the spam you're receiving does not come from ExpressVPN but rather from someone who is trying to trick you into paying them money.
