Will deleting a backup delete the photos off my old device?

I have been trying to back up my iPhone 14 Pro for about 5 months now, and absolutely no progress. It suggests for myself to delete an old phone’s backup. If I delete said backup, will the photos on the device itself delete? Or will they stay on the phone itself, and delete from iCloud?

Recovering deleted photos from iCloud after transferring data to a new iPhone Hello, I bought a new iPhone and wanted to transfer my data from one device to another. I deleted photos from iCloud and from Recently Deleted to save space on the new phone. But for some reason, the photos were deleted everywhere, including on the old phone. can i delete my previous iphone backup feom icloud without losing my photos I just bought the iPhone 16 pro and transferred all data/photos from my iPhone 13 Pro. Now on my new iPhone I can see the iCloud back up of the 16 pro but also the 13 pro. Should I delete the back up of my previous phone and will I lose photos etc? Thanks

Deleting a backup will not delete anything off the device. No photos will be deleted from iCloud except those in the backup itself.

If you use icloud backup for your current phone without using iCloud Photos then you will eventually need to buy more icloud storage. The space needed on iCloud is about the same.
