How to enable the 30-day grace period for a disabled phone number in iMessage

I used to be able to use a number for iMessage even I turned that line off.

Now, the phone number disappears from my iMessage list as soon as I turn off that line. Is there a way to bring that 30-day grace period back? I need this feature because I’m traveling internationally and AT&T charges me $10/day even I turned off data roaming on that line.

I’m blocked from iMessage for the second time! They accused me of spam and blocked my iMessages for the second time. They told me it is final and they may unblock me but they’re not sure if, or when I’ll be unblocked. The only option seems to be changing my number, which I don’t want to. Or getting an Android, which I don’t want to either as I have a Macbook, Apple watch and Airpods. so did any one of you all have success in getting unblocked for the second time??

Can you re register a number to iMessage after deregistration? I removed my number from iMessage and unable to add it back I removed my number from iMessage and my phone seems to not recognize my number. In the “my number” setting, no number is displayed and therefore in iMessage only my Apple ID is recognized rather than both my Apple ID and phone number.

Removing phone number from account No longer have access to phone that has the number I would like to remove so I can't turn off imessage or facetime.
