How to set up new iphone without Apple Intelligence

I do not want Apple Intelligence taking up space on my new iPhone. Is there a way to prevent it from loading during set up or perhaps removing it after set up? I do know how to disable it.

Turning it off is one thing. Freeing up the space that the program files are using storage on the iPhone (which is what the question is asking) is another. ;-)

But.......when you get a new iPhone, presumably one which is capable of running Apple Intelligence, you can't remove just Apple Intelligence from iOS. It will be there, but it DOESN'T have to be turned on, so the various components won't be downloaded, but the "engine" which Apple Intelligence is built around, will most assuredly be on the phone and it can't be avoided or removed.

AI is apparently an option you select when you first set up an iPhone. If you wish to remove the AI files you need to erase your phone entirely (back up first!!), then not select to install intelligence when setting it up again, then restore your device from the backup.
