Why is my MBP always charged up to 100%?

Internal Battery Optimization not operating as depicted.

16" MBP 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Using a Plugable Thunderbolt 4 Dock for Quad Monitors 100W, Thunderbolt Docking Station Connects up to Four 4K Monitors for Windows and Mac Laptops, 2x HDMI, 4x Thunderbolt 4/USB C, but I am only using three monitors at the moment.

This hub is powered and supplies constant power to my MBP while offering my desired multi-monitor setup.

Q: Is this Plugable branded hub circumventing the internal battery optimizer?

Q: I know that I should trust apple engineers with all the thought they put into this, but the internal optimizer should not allow SOC to stay at 100 % all day every day.

Q: Should I look to a Third-party battery management app like ALDente Pro to limit my SOC to 70-75-80%?

My MBP has not optimized/limited my charge to 80% in quite some time despite it being plugged in daily from 7am to 7pm while I work from home. After three years, my MBP should "know" my daily routine by now and that it will be plugged in all day long. It should "know" that I am not going to unplug and therefore not charge up to 100%. Apple should allow us to pick an exact charge-to limit.

I know that humans are gonna human, but please keep to the topic and refrain from bickering on other user's names or comments. I don't mind if I get ripped for my lame question, but keep it clean for all other commenters. Thank you in advance

The hub is not circumventing the power management of the Mac. The computer's own OS and battery circuitry do the work independent of the power source. The hub doesn't dictate management to the MacBook.

A: Yes, you should. Unless you truly believe that you know better than they.

A: No, you should not. It's unnecessary junk-ware that is wholly unneeded on the Mac. One of the best ways to mess up a Mac's normal performance is to install junk.

Battery management is a BIG priority for a company that produces these mobile battery-capable devices by the millions. To think that they just do battery maintenance willy-nilly is silly. Let the OS do what it does, without interfering.

A: You can leave product feedback using this link: Product Feedback - Apple

You appear to be running the Mac properly, that is to say, plugged in when ac power is nearby and available and unplugged when it isn't. I suggest you don't try to fix what ain't broke.
