Getting pop ups from website on iPhone; is it Malware?

Block it the way you would an adult content website under screentime, content and privacy restrictions, web content, limit adult websites. I have about 30 of those obnoxious pop up scam sites that I block.

Sounds like it is deceptive advertising – or part of an outright scam.

Such scam messages may try to convince you to install some worthless "security" app to solve a "non-existent" problem – or may give you a "tech support" number to call for "help". If you call that number, the only help that you'll get will be from criminals, posing as "tech support", who are eager to trick you into giving them everything they need to rip you off.

Sudoku is being paid to display the message and/or link, so it will continue to appear as long as you are playing the game. No need to be freaked out. Just ignore and delete the message if you want to continue playing the game.

The makers of the game are monetising it by allowing these pop-ups. Basically, you either live with that or don't play it. The only other possibility is that there is a paid version of the game which is offered in place of ads. But only you will know if that is an option in this case.

Well, the website was paid to display the pop-up, so that might be a hint.

Junk does not usually appear on better quality sites.

Same is happening to me, when I hit the back button it takes me to Walmarts website which is even weirder. Driving me crazy

I also have this happen. But it only happens when I am playing a game called perfect tidy. Otherwise, it does not happen.

Well, you have answered your own question. Give up "Perfect Tidy" or put up with the junk.

I get that. I commented in case it would help someone else in seeing if it was specifically app related or something else. No need for rudeness.

I play a sudoku game and it does the same to me. I don’t push anything abnormal and it will randomly send me to a browser with this site. Freakin me out.

It’s not just perfect tidy. It’s happening with all the games I have as well. It’s just annoying. I’ve deleted several games that it was doing that with. But it still happens with all of them
