iPhone Photos app not displaying recent photos in library

I took a picture of my pc screen to record an important code temporarily. I now have to do a search in the photos app to find it! Why can’t it just be shown at the bottom of the library like it’s always been? I found it in a “recently viewed” folder and even though I moved it to appear in all photos it still won’t show at the bottom of the library list I wish they would not have ruined photos app like they did iTunes. I Do NOT need the apple OS to MAKE FOLDERS FOR ME, IT’S NOT HELPING! How do I fix this?

When you open the Photos app , your library of photos and videos appears in a grid in the top half of the screen. Swipe down to see more photos. The most recent photos are at the bottom; continue swiping down to go back in time.

Try changing the sort order to Recently Added instead of Date Captured. If the metadata of the photo shows the incorrect capture data, then they will appear out of order. When importing photos from some locations, the metadata for Capture Date will be incorrect or missing altogether.

  1. Go to the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Swipe down on the photo grid to browse through your library.
  3. Tap , then choose how to sort items in your library:
    • By when you took, imported, or saved each item: Tap Sort by Recently Added. Photos and videos you added most recently appear at the bottom of the library.
    • By when each item was originally captured: Tap Sort by Date Captured. Photos and videos you save or import are organized by the date they were taken, not the date you saved them to the Photos app.

What do you mean by "appear at the bottom?" Bottom of what? What heading appears at the top of the screen when you're looking at the "bottom?" Does it say Photos? Does it say Library?

Here's my screen showing the bottom of the Library view:

My Library is sorted by Date Captured in the menu at the bottom of the Library view. (If I scroll farther down, the heading changes to Photos.) My Filter is set to "All Items," by the way. The pictures that I've taken recently are near the bottom of the screen.

If I scroll down a bit, I get the top of the Photos view:

This is the view when Photos is first started. (Actually, I've moved the Albums section to be more convenient for me.) The most recent pictures are in the center of the screen where they're easy to locate. Scrolling down further gets to other collections and Utilities sections.

What do you see that's different?

it would be nice if that was true, but not on my iPhone, my whole issue is that this doesn’t happen! Several times the

last photo i took doesn’t appear at the bottom and I have to search for it in the folders the OS created. A big hassle especially when i need to get info off that photo
