I want to disable Copilot in Word on MacBook Air

I do not see Options under File, much less File > Options > Copilot, maybe because it isn't there?

Alas, most of us don't have that option. The best I could do is to tweak the privacy settings. But that blasted co-pilot icon still appears in every new document, even if it doesn't work.

I still have Office 365 for another couple of weeks. But we're not renewing.

When were you able to get to their tech support? I tried recently and gave up.

I've found the transition to Pages smooth and seamless. Seems like Apple has done some good work on it and menus and commands are easy to find.

I suspect that, if enough people register their complaints through the "Feedback" option (Help/Feedback), this issue will be addressed in another update cycle or two. Until then, we soldier on.

In Word PREFERENCES there is an icon for Copilot. Click it — Disable Copilot.

All my connected experiences are unchecked. This is so frustrating
