iPhone 15 Pro Max Passcode Rejection Despite Correct Input

So my IPhone 15 pro max recently made me have to unlock my phone manually bc it didn’t recognize my face or something, so I did, it said it was wrong, I carefully typed it in, tried different variants, said it was wrong. It KEEPS LOCKING ME OUT I cannot wipe my phone it has VERY important pictures of old animals I’ve had. This is ABSURD that my CORRECT PASSWORD is not unlocking my phone.
