Silence button on iPhone 16 too easy to accidentally silence

why did Apple do away with the switch that you actually have to make an effort to flip in order to silence your phone? I take a lot of call for my job and I keep my phone in a holster and it’s VERY easy to depress the button long enough to switch to silence mode. This can have literally life/death implications if I miss a call because my phone is inadvertently silenced. Can Apple PLEASE make adjustment in the iOS so that the silence button can be inactivated and set to where if you want to silence your phone you have do it in the settings? Healthcare and other workers that take call would be very grateful, and this is a big enough issue that I would consider switching to a different device if this isn’t fixed. Thanks

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 18
