How can I fix voice navigation issues in Apple Maps?

I have iphone 14 pro max, IOS 18.2.1

When using apple maps with public transportation (bus, train, etc ...) I do not get any voice navigation to let me know which stop to exit, what train to take next, etc ...

I've checked my "maps" settings > Spoken Directions and volume is set to "Louder Volume" (tried all volume settings) and all buttons are turned on and still no voice navigation. How do I get this to work or is it suppose to work?

I did try to use voice navigation and changed my transportation method to a car and the voice navigation worked right away, this is why I'm questioning if it's suppose to work via public transportation. It seems ludicrous that it wouldn't work with public transportation, come on Apple ...

Can anyone help?

Apple Maps transit support may vary by location and region. I see no feature in iOS 18.2.1 maps that will provide transit voice navigation or alert you when you are coming up on your transit stop.

You can provide direct feedback and feature requests to the iOS/iPadOS Maps team. They are not participating in these fellow user supported, public communities.

@VikingOSX thanks for the information. It's really disappointing that Apple maps does not do this, maybe they will have it in an upcoming release ... cheers
