Add new empty folder to IPhone

I would like to add a new empty folder to my IPhone. I would like it to show on my IPhone face. I want to use it to drop certain photos into it from my photos app. Thank you to anyone who may help.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 18

You can add a new Folder in the Photos app by scrolling down to the Albums section, tapping on "Albums >" and then on "Create" and Selecting Create Folder.

You cannot add Photos directly to Folders, you can add Albums either empty ones or with photos already in them

Beyond that, not sure what you mean by "iPhone Face". You cannot add photos folders or albums to the Home Screen or Lock Screen if that is what you mean.

You can add a photos widget to the home screen that takes photos from a specific album or folder in the Photos app though.

You can't do that on an iPhone. Folders on the Home Screen can only contain apps. And they can't be empty.

You can create a folder in the Files app. You can then share photos from then Photos app to the Files app and put them in that folder (or any other).
