Battery limited to 80% on iPhone, yet charges fully to 100%
Hello, I have a problem with my battery charging being permanently set to 80%. However, the phone still charges to 100%. Where is the issue?

This is not an issue at all. The battery will still charge to 100% "occasionally" to help with accurate battery level calibration. Apple notes this in their documentation:
The only issue here might be how often "occasionally" occurs. When I tried using the limit settings, the battery would charge to 100% about 4-5 times a month, yet other users report that their battery only charges to 100% maybe once a month or longer.
Now, I ignore the charge limits since the battery is going to charge to 100% at times anyway.....and I like starting each day at 100%. This way, the battery lasts all day into the evening when I connect the phone to the power adapter and let the phone charge all night......every night. Much better battery performance this way.
My opinion.....Charge Limits are more of a gimmick to sell new iPhones than anything else. You may disagree though.
