WhatsApp Verification Code Blocked by Message Filtering in iOS 18

Okay, if you can't get an SMS verification code through your WhatsApp by SMS text and you follow every suggestion from WhatsApp support, YouTube videos, and solutions from certain forums, you still feel the frustration of not receiving that verification code. You need to do this if your iPhone has iOS 18 installed.

1. Go to Settings and scroll down to the apps menu at the bottom.
2. Click on Apps, scroll down to Messages app and click on it.
3. Within the Messages app, scroll down to Message filtering and toggle off Filter Unknown Senders.

So why turn off Filter Unkown Senders? This is one way to get your WhatsApp verification code; the filter for unknown senders is automatically turned on, and it blocks that certain verification code from being received from an unknown phone number that is sending it. So, turn it back on when you complete the registration of your phone number on the WhatsApp app. It's frustrating when you look at WhatsApp support, and they don't tell you or overlook one detailed part that could fix this issue.
