Find my completely useless for AirPods Pro 2

i lost my airpods 3 days ago, thats the last time the tracking updated, why is the tracking not updating?? my airpods cannot be located or have them make a noise, how do i get them to update while lost? This is a pretty big problem because they say they are outside in a snowbank however not only are there no signs of them anywhere but again they cannot be located or a sound made (this has been the case all 3 days and the case was charged to 80% when lost, they are also well within a known wifi network, they have also been marked as lost). As this is the first time I’ve lost them in 3 years of ownership I’m very disappointed in how useful find my has been. Any help greatly appreciated!
