CapCut got deleted off of my phone when TikTok got banned and this was very confusing for me knowing that that’s not supposed to happen
I don’t know how to fix this and this has made me very upset knowing I’ve spent ALOT of money on cap cut

Apple did not delete the app off of your phone. It is possible you turned on Optimized Storage to direct your device to offload apps when storage space becomes restricted or if the app has not been used in a while. That is not a setting that is turned on be default, so you must have done that yourself, and the feature is doing exactly what you told it to do. Once an app is offloaded, it will need to be redownloaded from the App Store again and that will not be possible if the app is no longer available.

The app was not removed, you may have either removed it or you optimize storage so that the app offloaded itself. Capcut is banned in the United States and. cannot be downloaded. Additional functionality within the app may also not work.

Deleting the app removes all data associated with it on your device, offloading is something completely different, so you would have to clear up what method you used. In most cases TikTok saves your data on their servers, which is why you can view your content when signing into your account from a different device. For any problem with your data missing from their servers, you would need to contact TikTok as Apple has no access to your data on their servers.
I offloaded it a day before the ban. And it disappeared. It’s gone. I got it back a week ago and all of my videos are gone. I worked MONTHS on some of the videos in there and I cried for a solid 10 minutes when I realized they were gone. If there is ANY WAY I can get it back I will be so, so, SO grateful.
