I have two 2018 Mac minis. One does everything it's supposed to; the other has been a pain in the patootie. I decided to start that one from scratch and reinstalled Sonoma. Now it tells me that my Apple ID/Password is unacceptable, but it's the same one I just used to logon to this site on my iPad. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Reset it to factory (avoid Time Machine during the entire process).

Get Passed the Login Screen:
See if you can find the Apple ID, and if you can recover the password. If the eMail address is still being used, then you should be able to log in and change it to your current Apple ID.
Recover, then Change the Credentials:
I. Apple ID:
II. Apple ID Password:
