JBurrows multi port hub not connecting to my macbook
The multi port hub was working but my macbook does not recognise it. Do I reset the SMC?

It would be more appropriate to reset NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
not all hubs are compatible—you can search there for a firmware update
