How can I identify an Apple Pay transaction?
An unexpected unauthorised payment from my bank account to Apple for £4.99 on the 25th January I don’t recognise this transaction

More than likely your credit card is compromised and used on Apple’s website. Apple may be able to confirm the origin of the charge. If you’re in the US please call 1-800-MY-APPLE or outside the US, consult the support articles below.

Depending on what you learn from Apple Support, I’d also, as a precautionary measure, contact the issuing bank’s fraud department and cancel the card. The number to call is printed on the back of the card.
