Have To Connect Other Streaming Apps To Apple To Watch Movie

I wanted to watch Conclave which oddly seemed to be a free movie. I hit play and was prompted by Apple without explanation asking if I wanted to add my Peacock, Hulu and my other streaming apps to Apple so they have access to what I watch. I tapped Not Now and without explanation not allowed to access movie on Apple TV. Can someone tell me why Apple needs access to all my streaming apps to watch a movie that is only on one (after 3 attempts I checked all of them to see if it was on any of those apps)? And why couldn't Apple say I could not watch the movie through Apple TV without connecting Peacock to that account?

This movie is available through subscription with Peacock TV, or else as a buy or rent movie through the various resellers, like Apple’s movie Store.

On the main details page for this movie, scroll down to How to Watch, and find all the available options there — regardless of what was default at the top of the page.
