.mts or avchd package not opening in quicktime or final cut pro

hi there,


i have a no of avchd packages, which opens to bdsm and then to streams-> .mts


however none of them are opening in quicktime, vlc or fcp.


is there anything separate that needs to be done for opening it.

.mts should play in all those applications. Rather than removing the .mts file from the AVCHD package, try importing the package in FCP using the Import window. Select the whole folder to import. FCP should extract the .mts and will rewrap them on import. You really should work with .mts files if at all possible. You can also use EditReady to rewrap them to QuickTime.
