I have a four minute video that I’m trying to send to friends who have an android phone. Every time I try to send it it says that iMessages must be turned on, but they don’t have an iMessage if they have an android phone I have no problem sending the video to Friends that have an iPhone. What can I do to send it to friends with android?

Go to Settings/Messages, make sure you are logged in to Messages, then look for the MMS switch and make sure it is on. And note that you must have a cellular data connection. MMS messages cannot use Wi-Fi.
I wonder if the issue is that the video is simply too big to send as a MMS message.
Video takes up a lot of room. Maximum MMS message sizes might vary by carrier – and presumably, for a video to get through, it has to be small enough to be accepted both by the sender's carrier and by the receiver's carrier.
