Thumb drive backup for iPhone 16 promax 1Tb

I don’t have a MacBook Pro yet (looking) but need a reliable backup option …. iCloud has been somewhat problematic/erratic and expensive. Any suggestions? Thanx!

You cannot backup an iPhone to a thumb drive. You need to use iCloud, Finder with a Mac or iTunes on a Windows computer.
