Writing on a file in Apple files

Hi I’ve been doing past papers for revision on the Apple files app for the last few weeks but now all of a sudden when I try and mark it up it says I need an owner password but it’s been downloaded to my iPad not on public domain and I don’t know how to override it since it wasn’t a problem before

You can start by identifying the application that you're using.

Different applications have different methods of authenticating users. For example, if the papers are written/edited in Pages, then the iPad will need to be signed on with the appropriate Apple Account.

If the documents are in Google Docs, then you need to sign in with the appropriate Google account

If the documents are in Microsoft Word/Office 365, then you need to sign in with the appropriate Microsoft Account.
