iPad recycle bin shows full even when it's empty

tried to delete 1. photo. ok then. second says bin full

Unlike some desktop computers with which you may be familiar, your iPad (which runs iPadOS) doesn't have a Recycle Bin.


However, some iPad Apps (such as the Files, Photos etc) have a Recently Deleted folder - from which deleted files can be recovered for up to 30-days from their initial deletion.


If you can provide more information about what you see - and where - contributors here may be better able to help. Posting a screenshot may help to illustrate your problem:

You can post your screenshot (having first redacted, using markup tools, any sensitive or personal information) using the image button that you'll see at the bottom of the message editing window:
