Excel not refreshing Formulas and generally being slow after working perfectly fine yesterday

Hi everyone, I just wanted to help some of you out, which may have a similar problem as me. So on my 2020 MacBook Air M1 a few days ago I had issues with excel, wich was kinda broken, didn't refresh formulas and even if I refreshed some cells manually the calculation stayed the same as before. It was also really laggy.

After one setting change in preferences in Excel, it resolved the problem.

So basically in the "Calculation" setting my cores where set to manual and 16. The other option was to set it to "use all processors on this computer" (which is 8 ). After changing that to "use all processors on this computer" excel was working perfectly well again.

I never changed this setting to manual and 16 cores. So maybe some of you have a similar issue.

Before that I updated my OS and Excel, but this didn't help resolve the problem.

Best regards

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.2
