After updating to iOS and iPadOS 18.3, the “Compose with ChatGPT” feature inside the writing tools has stopped working in apps that don’t allow inline text editing. However, it continues to function in apps like Notes and iMessage. It no longer works in Safari and any third-party apps. I’ve attached photos to illustrate the issue. Same thing happens on my iPad Pro.

Have you tried quitting ChatGPT, then opening again and trying to perform your operation/edit?
Try logging out of the app, deleting the app, downloading a new copy and logging in again.
Is it using ChatGPT or not? Have you tried switching Apple Intelligence off and on? Settings get mixed up during an update sometimes.
I believe the limit resets at midnight. In the meantime, you can use the native Apple Intelligence features.
If you go to Settings>Apple Intelligence & Siri>Chat GPT>Daily Limit, you should break able to get more information.
You also have the options of getting a paid subscription to ChatGPT which would remove the limitation.
Yes. But you don’t have an extra app for it to use ChatGPT. Apple Intelligence has ChatGPT access built into it. You don’t have to have the ChatGPT app. Yes I tried turning it off and on again. Do you have Apple Intelligence to test if for yourself ?

You only get so many uses out of ChatGPT’s advanced model for free. After that, it uses the less advanced model.

It is Apple Intelligence, there is no app.
There is nothing to be deleted it is Apple Intelligence. Nothing has changed either. Otherwise it wouldn’t work in iMessage, Notes and apps that edit inline.
The limit doesn’t prevent it from working. It just determines what model of ChatGPT you’re using. It worked before iOS 18.3, but immediately after updating it only works in apps that Apple Intelligence edits inline, such as Notes and iMessage regardless of the daily limit.
