Disable Auto Correct for Dictation on iPhone 7

How do I disable Auto Correct on iPhone dicatation / speech recognition pls (on an iPhone 7 - currently IOS 15.8.3)? I frequently dictate text (e.g. into Notes, Mail or WhatsApp), I see it appear correctly, and then I see it change automatically to something incorrect. Also I see automatic grammar correction change the meaning of what was dictated.

I have already disabled "Auto-Correction" in the Keyboards Menu. That did not fix the problem.

There's no obvious way of disabling auto correction / spell checking in Whatsapp for iPhone which is annoying (I've recently updated to version 25.2.82). My suspicious mind thinks that it may be Meta's way of gathering info on users and profiling them - Whatsapp being end to end encrypted, they can't do it at the server - but spell checking and auto correction at the end devices might allow profiling of users??? - I'm just speculating though.

I've asked Whatsapp via a comment on the Apple AppStore for them to include a spell check / auto correction switch on their next version.

I think that I owe Apple an apology. I've been testing this further and can't repeat it in Notes. This may be a WhatsApp issue rather than an iPhone issue (???).

Good on you, for coming back to admit that! Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp has of late had very buggy applications, which Apple has no control over.
