Apple TV network issues after tvOS 18.3 upgrade
I have an apple TV box. I upgraded to the latest version last night and have been regretting it ever since.
I immediately got a your disk is full error message. I couldn’t play the movie I was watching. So I deleted half of the apps I had on the box. Still no joy, kept getting the same error.
In the end, I had no choice but to reset the box.
That done, I added back in the profiles, etc., set the box back up and now I have a new error.
Every 2 or 3 minutes, the box keeps giving me a “no network signal” error. It loses the IP address, it says there is no network (when there is).
I’ve reset the router, I’ve restarted the tv box. I’ve checked my other devices.
My mac, 2xiPhones, and windows desktop have no issue with the network. It is the fastest available in France with Orange and works perfectly.
I’ve removed all my devices from the box and added them again.
I’ve tried viewing my content through the movies app, tv app and computer app (my preferred choice). The content plays, but then 5 minutes later, it loses the network.
I’ve tried the network with and without a vpn. I’ve tried a public vpn. I’ve even tried to use my iPhone as a hotspot. No matter what network or VPN the problem is the same.
I’ve lost count of how many times I have restarted.
I’ve even turned off all of my devices, unplugged them, left them unplugged for 5 minutes and then restarted everything.
No joy.
I’m ready to throw the box in the bin and switch to a different company and tool
