iMessages history missing on family iCloud Plan

Potential data loss... My wife and I have a huge iMessage history. We recently found that most of it has gone missing. When we scroll up on our iMessage conversation and more messages are loaded, the messages will skip over a years worth of data and go straight to messages from back in 2023. My wife and I are both experiencing the same issue and we are not experiencing the issue with other conversations. This message history is obviously very important to us. We have found that the messages still appear in iMessage search, but when you tap on a search result, it fails to load that message and jumps to another point far back in time. We recently switched to a family iCloud plan, but that may be unrelated to the issue. I'm not sure if we are hitting some sort of limits in message history size. We have plenty of iCloud storage available and we both have our settings configured to keep iMessages "forever". Is anyone else experiencing something like this? Thank you
