iMessages old messages disappear with the new update
Even with the selection of keep messages forever is on my messages older messages still disappear I only get to see this month messages and not my prior months messages

We'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some general possible causes:
- How much internal storage is available? You can check under Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
- Do you have iCloud Messages enabled, and if yes, how much iCloud storage is available? This can be checked under Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
- Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
