Stop iPhone automatically switching to a different Bluetooth speaker

If I have two Bluetooth speakers on at the same time, my iPhone insists on automatically jumping from one to the other.

This is very annoying. I want it to stick with the speaker I’ve deliberately selected.

Unpaired Bluetooth speaker rings when iPhone rings. My iPhone (14 Pro, iOS 18.0.1) is not paired to a nearby Bluetooth speaker. But when a call is coming in to my iPhone the speaker rings too. It might be relevant that the speaker is paired to an iPhone (6s, iOS 15.8.3) which does not even have a SIM chip (it is Bluetoothing an FM station to the speaker). This problem has existed through the past several updates to the 14 Pro. Anyone else seeing this? Any thoughts? Thanks, Bob

How to stop AirPods Switching to Other Devices Automatically

Make sure your AirPods or ‌AirPods Pro‌ are connected to your ‌iPhone‌.
Launch the Settings app.
Tap Bluetooth.
Tap the encircled info (i) button next to your AirPods in the list.
Tap Connect to This iPhone.
Select When Last Connected to This iPhone.
