Stolen iPhone no longer on my Apple Account devices list

Hi! I got my phone stolen in November 2024 and I asked here on the community how should I delete all my data inside because Find my Iphone wasn't activated on the device.

At the time people suggested to not delete the iPhone from the cloud, so who stole it couldn't use it.

So I never deleted it.

Now, a few months later, when I open my apple account on my Mac, I can only see two devices: my current new iPhone and my Mac.

I've never deleted the stolen iPhone, but it doesn't appear anymore. Can someone explain what happened? Is this normal after a few months or has the person who stole the phone been able to open it and use it?

Thank you!

Did you get a message from "Apple", saying that they had found your lost iPhone, and asking you to click a link – or to enter your Apple ID and Apple ID password?

Apple does not get involved with lost and stolen iPhones. Such messages are from the criminals, who are seeking to trick you into clearing Activation Lock, giving them the credentials to clear it, and/or giving them the credentials they need to ransack your data.
