My stolen iphone is no longer shown on Find M

My phone was stolen 2 weeks ago. I already turned on lost mode and I could still track it location in Find My 2 days ago. I decided to erase my phone yesterday as I'm afraid they can get my personal information. I just received the message from Apple (the real one) that my phone has been found but right when I clicked on the link it showed the location and then I could no longer find the iPhone on Find My. The phone is still now in the Settings of my device list. I don't know what happened, can anyone please explain this to me? Is that because they can open my phone now or there is something to do with Apple when I erased it?

But it is in the same Apple text message when they send me my apple ID code in August. This quite confuses me

Calling telephone numbers and SMS texting numbers can be spoofed.

You have probably logged into what was probably the scammers' website, and gave your Apple ID and password to the scammers.

If you can still change your Apple ID password to something else, change it right now.

The iPhone is gone. Whether you can retain control of your Apple ID is unclear. Change that password now.

If you have another Apple device available to receive the codes, or a trusted telephone number to receive the codes, enable two-factor authentication, if that's not already enabled, too.

Apple will never send a message like this. It might have looked like it was from Apple, but it was not.

The message was a scam to try to trick you into revealing personal info so the bad guys could get into your phone and then sell it.

Hopefully, you did not provide any information when you tapped or clicked on the link.
