MacBook Air not recognizing the passwords and no option to reset

I recently went to use my mac book after a couple of weeks of it sitting. I had to charge it to start it. And I went to use my password I had always used and now it doesn’t recognize the password and doesn’t give me any option to reset.

Troubleshooting a Locked Mac Account:


Reset this Using the Login Screen:

You'd go through your Apple ID to perform this. Find out more here: If you Forgot your Mac Login Password - Apple Support. Make sure that caps lock is not enabled when typing it. No Success? Go here: If you can't Reset your Mac Login Password - Apple Support
