I understand from searching the community that the iPad does not off the ability to have two profiles (two separate users) on the device.
I use my iPad for my business and personal use. I would like to separate. Is there a way to set up the iPad for a business and personal switchover?

The short simple answer is “No.”
Your business and personal profiles, as you correctly asserted, need to be completely separate, as if two different people are involved. Transferring an iPad from one person to another involves thoroughly cleansing and erasing the iPad.
Outside of Educational and Enterprise establishments, iPad and iPhone are principally intended to be a single-user device - and are not intended to shared in the same manner as you may be accustomed when using a Windows PC or Mac computer - which has multiple user profiles/accounts.
For managed environments, where multi-user usage is possible, the Deployment Guide provides appropriate guidance.

For unmanaged environments, be aware that if you sign-out of iCloud and other Apple services - and allow another user to sign-in - you’ll not be able to change back for 90-days. So as to prevent account abuse, some critical Apple services will only allow one change of signed-in AppleID (on a device) in a 90-day period.
It’s my personal iPad but I own 3 coffee shops. Use it for both. I’m good with that but going to start using Business Essentials and wondering if a way to separate. My iPad is logged in with personal Apple ID. I am setting up two iPads for baristas to help with inventory and training. Much appreciate the insight. Scot

It’s great you recognize that business and personal use need to be separated. An employer can legally access any information contained on a work-related electronic device.
