My Apple Watch failed to charge overnight

My watch failed to charge overnight and died today. I charged for about six hours but all I can see is the red arrow and the time. Won’t reboot or do anything else. Any ideas how to fix? I really miss my watch

with a 4 year old watch the hatterybattery has probably faded away. Unfortunately you can't check battery health % until you can get it going.

Put it on the charger then hold in crown plus side button for 15 seconds til Apple appears. If no luck then take or send it to Apple https://support.apple.com

Hello KimAllen, If you put the watch on the charger are you able to check the Battery Status? On the watch click digital crown to bring up apps > Click Settings > Scroll down to battery > Click on Battery Health > Scroll down to Maximum Capacity. If it is less than 80% then the battery is in need of replacing and you should see a warning as such. If your are not able to check the battery while it is on the charger then your only option is to have Apple take a look at it to determine the issue with the watch.
