Logitech folio touch keyboard modification from IOS 18.3 IPad Pro 3rd gen

Hello,

On a iPad Pro 3rd generation, I noticed with the update to IOS 18.2 or 18.3 that my Logitech folio touch keyboard changed its layout. Before, the upgrade, it emulated a simple keyboard with all of the French Canadian accents available in one keystroke. Now with this new upgrade, I have to press the letter for about 2 seconds for a display to appear so that I could choose an accent by typing the number corresponding to the accent. The new way is much more cumbersome and I would like to go back to the previous setup.

Any idea how I could do so ? If you need more informations on the subject, I would be glad to respond to any enquiry on the subject.

Thanking you all for your precious time and support,

Roger

Hello Tom,

Well your last Email was right on the spot. My French Canadian keyboard was missing its check (Then also go to settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard and tap over at the right edge.). This did the trick and now my original keyboards are back.

Thank you very much for your precious help.

Cordially,

Roger

Thank you for your help Tom. Well, it would seem that I don’t have the same menu configuration compared to your post. In fact, my menu is a significantly different.

Just to be clear, I’m using an iPad Pro (model MHQR3VC/A) and IPad OS 18.3. Please note also that my setup is in French because I’m a French Canadian Apple user. But it isn’t a problem because I can translate the menus from English to French and try to find the corresponding pages (items?) in my IPad.

I could easily find the setting and keyboard menus but nothing makes sense after that.

Please note also that this Logitech Folio external keyboard has been in operation for about 2 years now with this IPad. It’s been working flawlessly. I’ve been using the same keyboard setup since I bought the IPad and it changed completely with the latest updates to 18.2 or 18.3. It’s then that I noticed that all my accents in my French Canadian keyboard had been exchange for pressing the letter for 2-3 seconds to obtain an accent menu for that letter. For me, it’s a loss of flexibility and it’s cumbersome…

I will say also that I appreciate very much your help and I’m willing to support you if you have any question on the subject to help me find me original setup (if possible).
