Reason I ask is because is because I hear some websites like YouTube in some countries like Ethiopia (in my experience) does not work on any phones and VPN is supposed to make it work some how.., again still new to it.
Does VPN help with that?
It might. VPN's by nature, block your IP address, so yes, theoretically, it might help in this regard. But VPN's also cause all sorts of issues on iPhone, often preventing a phone from accessing Wifi, so it's a catch 22 situation. It might block your IP address, which could possibly let you access YouTube, but if you can't get on a Wifi network, you'll still not be able to get on YouTube. If you choose to install as VPN on your iPhone, do NOT install a free one. They're, for lack of a better word, dangerous. You'd want to invest in a high quality VPN, which will cost you money. Whether the investment and possible issues you may see are worth it to you, is up to you.
