Can I use two eSIMs on my iPhone at the same time?

Ive noticed many people who have been asking if they can have two ESIMs with two different carrier phone numbers active at the same time on their phone and be able to make & receive calls/texts. The answer is yes you absolutely can. iPhone 14 and up will hold many ESIMs but only allow two to be active at the same time. iPhone 13 will allow the same but one SIM card will have to be physical due to the design it only has one eSIM prebuilt into it already. But it works just fine and you can seamlessly switch between the two active ones.

All iPhone models that support eSIM can have multiple eSIMs and use Dual SIM with two active SIMs at the same time.

At any given time you can use 1SIM + 1 eSIM or 2 eSIMs. You can store up to 8 eSIMs --> Using Dual SIM with an eSIM - Apple Support (IN)

No … an iPhone 13 can function as a Dual Active SIM device with only eSIMs.

I does NOT need a nanoSIM to be active in dual-SIM mode. (As “Xs/Xr” thru “12” indeed did require)

Also FYI the REST of the WORLD (outside the U.S.) still has nanoSIM trays.

We all appreciate and encourage your efforts to apprise other members, but we need to provide accurate info when doing so. It’s not “playing semantics”

The authoritative treatment on this topic — in-existence since the iPhone 13’s release over 3-years ago — remains Apple’s:

Yes but one of the SIM card has to be physical and put into the slot and then imprinted, the second is purely an ESIM. iPhone 13 was the last time an iPhone had a physical sim port. I think you’re kind of discussing semantics now. I was just trying to help the people out on here who I’ve noticed asked this question a lot and were being misinformed.
