Apple Pay Block on Bee Network with Card

If Apple Pay blocked the transaction your bank never would have seen the transaction data. Apple is not a bank and cannot approve or decline transactions.

Your iPhone transmits an encrypted token to the wireless network. The transit company transmits the token through their payment network and your bank acknowledges receiving the token. The data is then transmitted back through the network to the bus that sees the payment and you proceed to your seat.

If the bank is approving the transaction, the charge would show on your account. Do you see a charge from the transit company on your account? If not, the bank is not approving the transaction or not receiving the data. This has nothing to do with Apple Pay if your bank sees the transaction.

What message do you see on the card reader when you try to pay?

Which credit card are you using to pay? I don't think they accept Amex.

Also - when you pay on the bus you use your Wallet, not Apple Pay. Apple Pay is used to pay for tickets in advance on the Bee App.

I really doubt bus drivers understand how electronic wallets work. Apple is not a bank and cannot block a card. Does your bank see the transaction attempts?
